Evidence of non-dino ooze has been collected from the crack, the ooze has been sent away for testing.

Again be extra careful until we get this crack repaired.

You may be aware that we recently started having weekly Blogosaur Meetings on Fridays to discuss Blog related issues and to talk to dinos about how to become a Blogosaur.

Well, we are going to continue to do this and have Blogosaur Meetings every Friday, EXCEPT for this week.

Because of the snowball battle that is going down on Friday, Blogosaur Meetings are going to be canceled this week.

Save the ice, save the bears!

Last week I posted about how difficult it will be for polar bears to make it to the next century and as I wrote it I was wishing for positive news.

As I mentioned last week, polar bears are one of my favorite species of animals, they are such amazing beasts and it would be a serious tragedy if we lost them forever.

In 2007 a team of scientists predicted that two thirds of the worlds polar bears would disappear by 2050, but those same scientists are now predicting that it might not be too late for the polar bears.

They’ve determined that there is no “tipping point” or “point of no return” for the polar ice caps as they once believed.

What that means is that there is no point at which global warming will get too far along and the ice caps will not be able to recover. While this is incredibly good news for polar bears, they’re not in the clear yet.

In order to save the polar ice caps and the polar bears that live and hunt on them, humans as a species will have to severely cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The study says that if humans can cut these emissions by 70% by 2100 we can save the polar bears.

This may seem like a simple task, but think about all of the cars, factories, trucks, planes, ships etc. that produce greenhouse gases all around the world.

We’ll have to stop 70% of the gases they produce. Technology will help us get halfway there, but it’s up to regular folks like you and me to spread the word and help mankind reduce greenhouse gases quickly!
